Q: How did he propose?
A: He didn't.
Q: ..?
A: Technically, Beth "proposed" to Steve while they were visiting castle ruins at Gleiburg, Germany (pictured at right) in July 2006. They had known each other a little over four months. The exchange went more or less like this:
Beth: "Steve, will you marry me?"
Steve: "Probably."
Fast forward about a year. Beth and Steve are discussing future plans, such as medical schools for Beth and the future of Kosada for Steve. Since they're including each other in these long-term plans, making sacrifices and taking risks in order to stay together, they decide that it makes sense to get married. They research the legal benefits of marriage, consider the ethical dilemmas of marriage discrimination, and ultimately decide to pick out rings and start planning a date for the wedding.
